Wide Expanse recalls not only the act of gathering around a table, but also the conversations, music, friendship, love, sorrow, and joy that accompany it — a way of living that celebrates being together. The artists featured in the exhibition reinterpret layers of collective memory through a contemporary visual language, drawing inspiration from dining rituals across different eras and cultures.
Spanning from ancient feasts to Ottoman taverns, from Republican-era entertainment venues to today’s digital gatherings, the exhibition approaches the table as a site of sharing, performance, and celebration.
